The Heat Power process

The process is simple.

The Climeon Heat Power system utilizes the temperature difference between hot and cold water (or the heat exchange of gas or steam with hot water) to generate clean electricity. This results in less carbon emissions, improved efficiency and overall reduced environmental impact of the steel plant.

Efficient, economical, profitable

The Climeon system combines high efficiency conversion of heat to electricity with a low cost, providing significant savings in fuel and electricity costs.

The proprietary technology operates at a lower pressure than traditional heat power solutions utilizing an Organic Rankine Cycle, ORC. The decrease in pressure allows our units to be smaller while still having double the efficiency of traditional ORC.

Climeon's ability to utilize low temperatures (70-120°C) with 50% higher efficiencies than other solutions makes it the global leader of low temp heat conversion technology.

Flexible and scalable design

The system's low pressure levels allow for a compact and modular design, making it easily scalable from a single 150kW module, to 50 modules resulting in 7.5mW. The modular design ensures optimal efficiency, even at partial load. Modules are automatically powered on, or off, to match thermal power, whenever there are fluctuations in the heat source. Modules can be installed indoors or outdoors. The Climeon system can be connected to any heat source, and comes as a complete product. It consists of only three moving parts per module: a turbine and two pumps.

Climeon Live

The Climeon control system, Climeon Live, is a state of the art, customizable PLC. Each Climeon module is outfitted with multiple sensors.  Climeon takes this data and optimizes performance in real time, to ensure maximum energy generation. Climeon Live identifies potential faults before they arise, minimizing the risk of unplanned downtime. Climeon Live's API can also be integrated into external control systems, offering a valuable PR-message with emission-savings and clean electricity production output. Climeon live can also store data directly to the cloud for reverence and allow for remote control and monitoring.d specifications.
