Climeon wins The Industry’s Award at Techarenan Challenge

Climeon has won The Industry’s Award at Techarenan Challenge, a competion for the Nordic region’s leading startup and growth companies.

Techarenan Challenge is being arranged for the seventh year and the entrepreneurship competition is aimed at Nordic companies that are based on a unique innovation or business idea with the potential to be commercialized in the global market. The companies have been evaluated by an expert jury where great focus has been placed on scalability, sustainability and that there are well-defined growth opportunities.

Climeon was named the winner of The Industry’s Award. The award was presented by the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries, which is the primary representative for Swedish industry. Their 4,200 member companies constitute one third of Sweden’s exports.

The jury’s motivation was:

“With its technology, Climeon contributes to the solution to one of the biggest challenges in the world today, access to sustainable energy supply.

The company’s proprietary technology utilizes energy in low-temperature geothermal heat and waste heat to generate electricity. A cheap and renewable energy source with the potential to replace much of the energy that today comes from coal, nuclear power, oil and gas.

With its innovative technology and geothermal power plants, Climeon has the potential to make a fantastic contribution to a better environment for all. Technology makes the world better!”

Climeon was one of the 50 final companies selected from more than 450 entries received for this year’s competition. Companies from all over the Nordic region have been evaluated and the finalists are active in various industries such as environmental technology, medical technology, e-health, fintech, edtech, mobility and more.
