The Heat Power process

The process is in fact quite simple.

The Climeon Heat Power system exploits the temperature difference between hot and cold water (or heat exchange of gas or steam with hot water) to generate clean electricity. At the same time, less carbon emissions are released into the atmosphere, improving the efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of the power plant.

Efficient, economical, profitable

The Climeon system combines high efficiency and low overall cost, driving significant savings in fuel and electricity costs, to create a powerful business case for the utilization of waste heat.

The technology operates at low pressure levels in comparison to traditional heat power solutions. For example, Organic Rankine Cycles (ORC) which operate at much higher-pressure levels, are both larger in size and less efficient at the low temperature where the largest bulk of waste heat is found. Climeon's low temperature levels allow delivery of up to 50% higher efficiencies than other solutions on the market, while creating a smaller carbon footprint from manufacturing.

Flexible and scalable design

The system's low pressure levels allows a compact and modular design, making it easily scalable from 150kW modules, to several 50 MW systems for larger installations. The modular design ensures optimal efficiency, even at partial load. Modules are automatically powered on, or off, to match thermal power whenever there us fluctuation in the heat source. Modules can be installed both indoors and outdoors. The Climeon system can be connected to any heat source, and comes as a complete product. It consists of only three moving parts per module: a turbine and two pumps.

The Climeon control system, Climeon Live, makes the system fully automatic. It optimizes performance in real time, to ensure maximum energy generation. Each Climeon module has multiple sensors delivering measurements. Data is collected and stored in the cloud for historical performance reporting. Climeon Live identifies potential faults before they arise, minimizing the risk of unplanned downtime. Climeon Live's API can also be integrated into external control systems, offering a valuable PR-message with emission-savings and clean electricity production output.
